Softball Batter Up is a modified softball program that teaches fundamental skills through a series of FUN and SAFE games for kids.
As Softball Australia’s national participation program, Softball Batter Up, is designed to be fun, flexible and engaging for children (ages 4-8), focusing on fun activities while learning basic throwing, catching, striking and decision making skills.
The program will be adapted for all ages and abilities using the Game Sense and CHANGE IT approach. Softball Batter Up activities align with the national health and physical education curriculum in schools, are written with the purpose of engaging children in physical activity and fostering a life-long love of sport.
Softball Batter Up 6 week program for kids aged 4-8
Includes a range of activities each week focusing on having fun while learning basic throwing, catching and striking skills.
Every participant receives a Foam Bat, ball & backpack!

Lilydale Ejays Softball Club has been providing softball within the local community in the Shire of Yarra Ranges for the past 38 years. The club is made up of members, ranging in ages from 5 to 75. We play our regular domestic season from October to March every year and participate in tournaments throughout winter. We provide expert coaching for all levels of player, particularly for our junior softballers. We are very lucky to have some of Victoria’s best coaches as members of our club, all who dedicate their time to coaching for the love of the sport and donate their time to our wonderful club. We pride ourselves on being a family friendly community club and encourage all members of the family to participate.
